DC-C400/450 Toner Cartridge Refilling Guide

This technical support guide provides step-by-step instructions for refilling the DC-C400/450 toner cartridge.

The complete procedure consists of 6 illustrated steps covering removal of the toner cartridge, removal of the cartridge cap and old toner, refilling with replacement toner, resealing the cartridge, and preparing the cartridge for installation.

Before You Begin

This guide is intended for technicians and users familiar with servicing copier equipment. Follow the illustrated instructions carefully and ensure the machine is switched off before servicing.

Toner Cartridge Refilling Procedure

Steps 1–3: Remove the Toner Cartridge and Old Toner

1. Remove the toner cartridge from the machine.
2. Remove the sealing tape from the cartridge cap.
3. Pull out the toner cap and dispose of the leftover old toner from the cartridge.

Steps 4–5: Refill and Reseal the Toner Cartridge

4. Refill the cartridge with new compatible toner and attach the toner cap. Ensure that the arrow on the toner cap is aligned with the arrow on the toner cartridge as illustrated in the guide. Clean the exterior of the toner cartridge with toner wipes.
5. Apply black sealing tape around the toner cap.

Step 6: Prepare the Cartridge for Installation

6. Locate metal slot (A) at the bottom of the toner cartridge and gently push it with a flat screwdriver (B). The cartridge is now ready to be installed.
