Phaser 7760 Pressure Film Replacement Guide

This technical support guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing the pressure film in the Phaser 7760 fuser unit.

The complete replacement procedure consists of 7 illustrated steps covering removal of the fuser unit cover, removal of the pressure film roller, and installation of the new pressure film.

Before You Begin

This guide is intended for technicians and users familiar with servicing copier and printer components. Switch off the machine and allow the fuser unit to cool completely before servicing.

Pressure Film Replacement Procedure

Steps 1–2: Remove the Fuser Unit Cover

1. Remove the screws from both ends of the fuser unit.
2. Gently remove the fuser unit cover.

Steps 3–4: Release the Pressure Film Assembly

3. Place the fuser unit on a table with the pressure film facing you. Remove the two screws from both ends.
4. Gently push the pressure film metal holder from the unit at both ends.

Steps 5–6: Remove the Pressure Film Roller

5. Detach the pressure film roller from the unit.
6. Remove the black contact from one end of the pressure film roller.

Step 7: Replace the Pressure Film

7. Slide the used pressure film from the heater rod and replace it with the new pressure film.
